1. · City

    Kyiv opens

Kyiv is the sixth city of the atlas. Fly from the thirteen domes of St Sophia to the gilt domes of St Michael's, then along the Dnipro to the Lavra bell tower and Mother Ukraine with her raised sword. Cars and trains cross the river on its bridges, and boats pass the floating restaurants along the banks. The menus and pages are now also in Ukrainian; choose the language in the menu of any map.

  2. · Style

    Paper cut and miniature

Two new styles are in the menu of every map. Paper cut draws the city in sheets of coloured paper with thin, light outlines, and its rivers step down in darker layers to deep water. Miniature shows the city as a model on a clear day, with clouds and a tilt-shift lens that keeps the landmark sharp.

    The atlas opens

Atlas Above opens with five cities: Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Hamburg and Amsterdam. Every building, tree and street comes from open data and is drawn from above, in the manner of the Plan de Turgot of Paris from 1739. Cars, boats, trains and people move through the streets, and you can save any view as a picture to print.
